Sisters: SAGE Olympia &Pre-SAGE Tacoma
SAGE Olympia has been working with Tacoma area
residents to support their efforts to create a
Tacoma-area affiliate. As "Sister-Sage"
communities, we have shared information and
resources; staffed the recent Pride Festival
booths in both Tacoma and Olympia; conducted
GLBT elder service provider training; and,
worked closely together to conduct the recent
GLBT needs-assessment. Tacoma residents are
working with SAGE USA to explore the path to
becoming a formal SAGE affiliate. Until Tacoma
becomes an official SAGE affiliate, our mutual
"Sister-Sage" work will continue to promote
wellness for GLBT elders through out the South
Puget Sound region.
